Website Solutions

Your website is the one marketing asset you actually own. Searchlab plans, designs and builds sites on WordPress, Webflow and Shopify, then tunes them for speed, search visibility and conversion. This is for businesses that need the site to earn its keep, not just look current.

Every ad click, every organic visit and every referral lands on the same place. If the structure is confusing, the pages load slowly or the call to action is buried, that traffic leaks. We plan the site around real search demand and the questions buyers ask before they buy, then design and build to match. Structure first, styling second.

Platform choice follows the brief, never the other way round. A B2B site with 300 service and location pages needs different plumbing than a 40 product fashion store or a fast marketing site a two person team must edit weekly. We look at editing workflow, integrations, budget, content volume and growth plans before recommending WordPress, Webflow or Shopify.

Searchlab is an SEO company first, so technical SEO ships with the build instead of being bolted on six months later. Crawlable URL patterns, a single H1 per page, sensible heading order, internal linking that follows topic clusters, canonical rules, schema markup and a clean XML sitemap are part of the definition of done. On replatforms we map redirects one to one so hard won rankings survive the move.

Launch is the midpoint, not the finish. We watch Core Web Vitals from real visitors through the Chrome User Experience Report, review Search Console coverage weekly for the first month, and study scroll and click behaviour on the pages that carry revenue. Small changes to a form, a pricing table or a hero message often move conversion more than another redesign would.

Outcomes

What changes for your business

Traffic that converts

Pages built around buyer intent with one clear action each, so visitors who arrive with a problem find the answer and the next step without hunting.

Faster pages, lower bounce

Real user LCP, INP and CLS measured and fixed at the source. Faster pages hold attention on mobile networks and give paid traffic a better chance to pay back.

Search visibility from day one

Crawlable architecture, clean internal linking and schema built into the templates, so new pages start earning impressions instead of waiting for a later SEO project.

A site your team can run

Editable blocks, clear field labels and short recorded walkthroughs. Publishing a new page or offer should not require a developer or a support ticket.

Room to grow

Reusable components, a documented design system and a content model that handles ten pages or a thousand without a rebuild every time the business shifts.

Decisions backed by data

Analytics and event tracking configured properly at launch, so you know which pages, forms and offers actually produce enquiries and which ones only look busy.

Our process

How we run a Website Solutions engagement

1

Discovery and research

We interview your team, review analytics and Search Console, study three or four competitors, and pull the keyword and question set your buyers actually use. Output is a brief everyone signs off on.

2

Architecture and content model

Sitemap, URL structure, template list and internal linking plan, grouped into topic clusters. We define what each template must contain before anyone opens a design tool.

3

Wireframes and design system

Low fidelity layouts settle hierarchy and flow. Then colour, type scale, spacing, states and components are built as a reusable system, checked for contrast and keyboard use.

4

Build and quality assurance

Development on staging with version control, real content instead of lorem ipsum, then testing across devices, browsers, forms, tracking, redirects and Core Web Vitals before anything goes public.

5

Launch and iterate

Redirect map applied, sitemap submitted, indexing monitored daily for the first two weeks. After that we review field performance and conversion data and ship improvements in cycles.

FAQ

Questions about Website Solutions

How long does a website project take?

A focused marketing site of ten to fifteen pages usually runs six to nine weeks. Larger builds with custom templates, multiple languages or eCommerce run twelve to twenty weeks. The single biggest variable is content readiness. Projects where copy and product data are approved on schedule finish on schedule, and the ones that slip almost always slip on content.

Will a redesign hurt my current rankings?

It can, if the migration is handled carelessly. We crawl the existing site first, record every indexed URL and its traffic, then map each one to a destination with a 301 redirect. Titles, headings and body content on high performing pages are preserved rather than rewritten for style. Expect some movement for two to six weeks, then recovery.

Which platform should we use?

WordPress suits content heavy sites, complex editorial workflows and anything needing deep custom logic. Webflow suits marketing sites where design control and fast iteration matter more than plugins. Shopify suits product selling. We recommend after discovery, and we will tell you when a simpler or cheaper option is the right answer.

Do you write the content or do we?

Either works. We can produce keyword mapped copy for every template, or we give you a structured content brief per page listing target queries, required sections, word ranges and internal links, and your team writes it. Mixed models are common, where we handle service and landing pages and you handle company voice pages.

What happens after launch?

You get the files, accounts and documentation, so nothing is held hostage. Beyond that we offer care plans covering updates, backups, uptime checks, security patching, monthly Core Web Vitals reporting and a block of hours for changes. Many clients also move straight into a conversion optimisation or SEO retainer.

Can you work with our existing site instead of rebuilding?

Often yes, and often it is the better spend. We audit what you have, and if the foundations are sound we fix speed, structure, templates and conversion paths in place. A rebuild is worth it when the platform blocks you, the code is unmaintainable, or the information architecture no longer matches the business.

Do you handle hosting and domains?

We can set up and manage hosting, DNS, SSL and a CDN, or work inside your existing infrastructure and hand over deployment instructions. For WordPress we prefer hosts with staging, server level caching and daily backups. Webflow and Shopify include hosting, so there we manage domains and DNS only.
